The new Emile Henry Salt Pig offers an easy and practical way to store and preserve salt, while looking elegant on the kitchen countertops.
Keeping salt at hand is a must in every kitchen: for salting pasta water, seasoning a quiche, degorging courgettes, preparing salt-crusted sea bass… there are many reasons why you should always have quick and easy access to salt. Thanks to the Salt Pig’s wide opening, you can easily grab a pinch of salt – even with large hands – making it the perfect companion to quickly season every dish.
Whether it is coarse, sea or Fleur de Sel – it will keep your salt loose thanks to the unglazed ceramic inside which absorbs excess moisture, preventing the salt from sticking together and forming a crusty top.

A highly resistant glaze which does not scratch or craze
The glaze is so hard, you can cut inside the dish without harming the surface.
Highly resistant to chipping
Fired at 1150°C, the clay is extremely strong and resistant to chipping.
Highly resistant to heat and cold
You can bring your cooked dish out of the freezer and put it directly into a preheated oven at 250°C or microwave.
Emile Henry has developed a unique ceramic, which can be used in the oven, microwave, dishwasher or freezer. It does not scratch when cutting inside and is chip resistant.
